A delicious and easy crock pot recipe for sticky honey garlic chicken, perfect for serving over fluffy rice.

- 2 lbs chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, ginger, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chicken thighs in the crock pot and pour the honey garlic mixture over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- If you want a thicker sauce, remove the chicken once cooked and set aside. Mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry and stir into the sauce in the crock pot. Cook on high for an additional 15-30 minutes until thickened.
- Serve the sticky honey garlic chicken over fluffy rice, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken breasts for thighs if preferred.
- Adjust the amount of honey based on your sweetness preference.
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
