Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 23 bird’s eye chilies, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Optional: lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and chopped chilies to the skillet, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the Thai basil leaves until wilted.
  6. Serve the spicy beef mixture over steamed jasmine rice.
  7. Garnish with lime wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the number of chilies based on your spice preference.
  • For a complete meal, add steamed vegetables on the side.
