- 1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 pound blueberries
- 1 pound pound cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- In a large trifle dish or individual cups, layer the ingredients starting with pound cake cubes, followed by a layer of whipped cream, and then a layer of mixed berries.
- Repeat the layers until the dish is full, finishing with a layer of whipped cream and topped with additional fresh berries.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- For a festive touch, you can add red, white, and blue sprinkles on top.
