  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until it turns into a golden caramel. Quickly pour the caramel into a round baking dish, tilting to coat the bottom evenly.
  3. In a blender, combine the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the caramel in the baking dish.
  5. Place the baking dish in a larger baking pan and fill the larger pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the flan dish.
  6. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until the flan is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  8. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the flan, invert onto a plate, and enjoy!
