Description
These fall-off-the-bone BBQ ribs are perfect for your Memorial Day gathering! They are coated in a homemade spice rub and slathered in a tangy BBQ sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of pork ribs
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F or 150°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to create the spice rub.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the spice rub, pressing it into the meat.
- Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down. Cover and cook for about 2 hours, maintaining the grill temperature.
- After 2 hours, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce. Continue to grill for another 30 minutes, brushing with more sauce every 10 minutes.
- Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- For a smokier flavor, add wood chips to the grill.
- These ribs can also be cooked in the oven at 300°F for 2.5 to 3 hours if you prefer.
