  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

These fall-off-the-bone BBQ ribs are perfect for your Memorial Day gathering! They are coated in a homemade spice rub and slathered in a tangy BBQ sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of pork ribs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F or 150°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to create the spice rub.
  3. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
  4. Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the spice rub, pressing it into the meat.
  5. Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down. Cover and cook for about 2 hours, maintaining the grill temperature.
  6. After 2 hours, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce. Continue to grill for another 30 minutes, brushing with more sauce every 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a smokier flavor, add wood chips to the grill.
  • These ribs can also be cooked in the oven at 300°F for 2.5 to 3 hours if you prefer.
