Description

These bourbon glazed meatballs are the perfect addition to your Kentucky Derby party. Easy to make and packed with flavor, they will be a hit with your guests!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the glaze. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the bourbon glaze over them. Toss to coat.
  7. Serve the bourbon glazed meatballs warm on a platter, garnished with additional parsley if desired.

Notes

  • These meatballs can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the glaze by adding more or less brown sugar.
