- 1 cup 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- In a bowl, combine the rinsed rice, water, olive oil, and salt. Stir well to combine.
- Pour the mixture into the air fryer basket or a suitable air fryer-safe dish.
- Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
- Cook the rice for 25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- After 25 minutes, check the rice. If needed, cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Once done, fluff the rice with a fork and serve warm.
Notes
- Feel free to add spices or herbs to the rice before cooking for added flavor.
- Make sure to use an air fryer-safe dish that can hold the liquid without spilling.
- For brown rice, adjust the cooking time to 35-40 minutes and use 2.5 cups of water.
