- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Parmesan cheese, grated (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, and add the lemon zest. Stir to combine and let it simmer for another 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated in the sauce. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
