Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes until browned, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the bell pepper, broccoli, snap peas, and carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet and stir everything together. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  7. Serve the stir fry over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Feel free to add any other vegetables you like, such as mushrooms or zucchini.
  • You can substitute beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
  • For extra flavor, garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.
