- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- Cooked pasta or rice for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and cover until melted.
- Serve over cooked pasta or rice.
