  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 1 cup minced green beans
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package lumpia wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and onions, sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Stir in grated carrots and minced green beans. Add soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  4. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool.
  5. Once cooled, take a lumpia wrapper and place a spoonful of the beef mixture near one corner. Roll tightly, folding in the sides as you go. Seal the edge with a little water.
  6. Repeat until all the filling is used.
  7. In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the lumpia in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can mix in some chopped green onions or bell peppers into the filling.
  • Serve with sweet chili sauce or vinegar for dipping.
