Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds baby potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the baby potatoes and cook until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and let them cool for a few minutes until they’re easier to handle.
  4. Once cool enough, place each potato on a cutting board and gently press down with the bottom of a glass or a potato masher until they are slightly flattened.
  5. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Brush or drizzle the seasoning mixture over each smashed potato, coating them evenly.
  7. Place the smashed potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are not overcrowded.
  8. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove from the air fryer, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add grated Parmesan cheese on top during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • Make sure to not overcrowd the air fryer for the best crispiness.
