  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

These air fryer French fries are golden, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Enjoy the delicious taste of homemade fries that are better than any takeout!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into even sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Soak the potato sticks in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean towel.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the potato sticks with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  6. Place the potato sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches.
  7. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove the fries from the air fryer and season with additional salt if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra crispy fries, make sure to soak the potatoes long enough.
  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
  • Feel free to customize the seasoning to your taste!
