Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into even sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Soak the potato sticks in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean towel.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato sticks with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the potato sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fries from the air fryer and season with additional salt if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, make sure to soak the potatoes long enough.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
- Feel free to customize the seasoning to your taste!
