Description

This quick and easy recipe for crispy air fryer fish comes together in just 12 minutes and is served with a delicious creamy tartar sauce. Perfect for a weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb white fish fillets (like cod or tilapia)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended for extra crunch)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another dish, beat the eggs.
  4. In a third dish, place the breadcrumbs.
  5. Coat each fish fillet in the flour mixture, dip in the eggs, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Spray both sides of the coated fish fillets with cooking spray.
  7. Place the fish in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway through.
  8. While the fish is cooking, prepare the creamy tartar sauce by mixing together mayonnaise, chopped pickles, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
  9. Serve the crispy fish with creamy tartar sauce and lemon wedges.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding herbs like dill or parsley to the tartar sauce.
  • Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
