- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cans (15 oz) beans (kidney, black, or pinto), drained and rinsed
- 1 cup corn (frozen or canned)
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
- Toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Transfer the meat to the crockpot and add the chopped onion, garlic, bell pepper, crushed tomatoes, beans, corn, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and broth.
- Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve hot with your choice of toppings.

- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like zucchini or carrots.
- This chili can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
