- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Lime wedges, for serving
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and garlic, sautéing until softened.
- Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together sour cream and lime juice for the crema.
- Warm corn tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
- Assemble tacos by placing a portion of the beef mixture on each tortilla. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, queso fresco, and cilantro.
- Drizzle lime crema over the top and serve with lime wedges.
