- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of beef sauce, then noodles, then ricotta mixture, and mozzarella.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with beef sauce and mozzarella on top.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
- Use no-boil lasagna noodles for an even quicker version.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
