Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar.
- Add molasses and egg to the creamed mixture.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Roll out the dough and cut shapes.
- Place cookies on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Cool before decorating.

- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- For a spicier flavor, add more ginger.
- Use royal icing for decoration.
